Old Mission Santa Barbara
Founded in 1786 and still an active parish, Old Mission Santa Barbara is the most visited historic landmark in the city and one of the best-preserved Spanish colonial missions in California. The twin-towered facade, the museum collection, and the rose garden draw huge numbers of visitors annually. School groups can request self-guided tours through the mission's reservation page; docent-guided school tours are currently unavailable.
The surrounding Laguna neighborhood streets have limited parking for oversized vehicles, so charter bus groups should confirm access details directly with the mission before the visit.
